Melo Awarded Best of Year by Interior Design
What a great time in NYC! The Javits Center was rocking with over 1,000 attendees excited to celebrate furniture design’s most prestigious annual event – the Best of Year awards, hosted by Interior Design Magazine. Our partners Slavka Younger, Gary Nightingale and Steve Kinder were honored to attend the gala as a finalist for a “Best of Year” award for Melo. What is Melo? It’s part tech, part art, part acoustic paneling, all fused together to create a unique statement piece for offices, collaborative spaces and anywhere else that sound dampening combined with background sound is desired. With an integrated Bluetooth speaker, users can easily stream their own playlist of tunes, and with the long-life battery the beats can go on all day. The acoustic tiles can be arranged in any pattern desired and with over 15 standard colors, the design options are almost limitless. Anyway, back to the party…as a small start-up business, we were honored just to be there amongst the design giants and leading product manufacturers in our industry. The plan was to just soak it all up, mix and mingle and celebrate a great year. That all changed when we heard Cindy Allen, chief editor of Interior Design Magazine, call out the name “FRASCH is the winner!” when our entry category was announced. Pure joy and shock is about the only way to describe our emotions! A huge thank you to the judging panel, Interior Design Magazine and all of our clients and friends who have helped make Melo a successful product and a winner!
